My good friend Michelle comes over on most Thursdays to help me out. She is one of those true friends who wants to do whatever would be helpful. She has cleaned my bathrooms, assembled our cubbie system, fixed the vacuum cleaner, scrubbed my kitchen floor, and entertained all four kids while I got things done around the house. She has helped me get all the babies to the dentist, bring everyone to visit Sacred Heart School, and play at the park. She and her husband even hosted us for a dinner party (we don't get many dinner invitations!) Today she introduced us to the sport of geocaching!
For those who are unfamiliar with this cool hobby, it is an on-going scavenger hunt using the internet and global positioning information. Anyone can start a "cache" which contains a log book and pencil for you to record your visit. It also has "treasures" in it. The rule is, you find the cache, record your name and share information about your adventure, add a treasure, and take a treasure. They are hidden in public places, with their contents often in a small plastic tub. All Michelle had to say was, "I bet there are several right around here." Liliana wanted to go alone with Michelle, but she decided it was okay if everyone went, as long as she rode with Michelle and I took the triplets in the van. We chose a small container of bubbles as our treasure to donate and after locating information about a local cache at http://www.geocaching.com/ , we packed up and headed for a conservation park on Rte. 152
