Day Out With Thomas

Thomas the Tank Engine is very popular in our house. When we heard that Thomas was visiting in North Conway, we HAD to go.

We left early last Saturday packed with all the essentials for a day away, including some wonderful homemade cookies from my Mom. My Mom has a way of making everything special. She even decorated the tin!

The cookies were very popular!

"Day Out With Thomas" was great fun. First, we got balloons.

Isn't Liliana adorable in this dress? She insisted on wearing it.

Yay for balloons!

We took this group shot with Thomas. Behind us is a line of people waiting to stand on a little podium directly in front of Thomas and pay for someone else to take the picture. Not only would all our kids not be able to fit on the podium, but I think if we had let the triplets out of the stroller they would have started climbing ON Thomas!!!

Lili poses with the engines.

We met Sir Topham Hat!

Everyone got to climb onto a real train engine.

Finally, it was time to ride on Thomas!!!!

It was extremely hot and humid that day, and we were THRILLED that our train car had air conditioning. We really didn't need six tickets since all four kids fit into two seats!

We all enjoyed the ride, but I think Joe enjoyed it the most.

We all said, "Good Bye Thomas!" and packed back into the van. We were hot, sweaty, hungry, and very tired. We wanted to get the kids cooled down before we tried changing diapers for the ride home, so we started looking for a place to eat. Every "sit down" restaurant had a huge line. We ended up at McDonalds, and by this time the triplets were asleep. Concerned they might have poopy pants we woke them up to change them.

And then nobody wanted to sleep.

So we went straight to a birthday party in Epping for one of Lili's friends from school.

Here's Lili scoring candy after the pinata breaks.

One advantage of being a multiple is that you always have enough friends to play on a seesaw.

Faith enjoys a ride by herself.

It was a long and fun day for the Barrett Family.
