Well, we made it. It appears that the town officials have learned how to avoid major flooding. The river hasn't gone up since yesterday afternoon. Yay!
Last night Mom, Lili and I had a "girl's night out" shopping trip to Wal-Mart. It was great fun. Mom drove one of those motorized carts for the first time. Lili even rode with her a few times. We got some much needed items, including Play-doh. We have a lot of Play-doh, but after a while it all gets mixed, and the only color you have is brown. Lili also got a plastic princess tea set. She was so excited she was jumping up and down. This morning she was eager to play "tea party" with her siblings. I'm so proud of my big girl and how she shares. It was maybe 2 minutes before Eve was pulling off the stickers, then Joe (who is quite cranky because I've had to stop giving him milk in his bottles since he's been biting through the nipples) BIT LILI ON THE BACK! My heart just broke for her. She was sharing so nicely and having a good time, then she gets bitten. He broke the skin too.
Later on we broke open the new Play-doh at the table and everyone was having a great time. Lili said, "This is much better than getting bit."
Then she turned to Joe and said, "I love you Joe. You're my brother and you're growing up."
Out of the mouths of babes. Would that we were all so loving and forgiving.
