Never a dull moment.....

Mom called Sunday night to tell me they were taking Dad to the hospital in the truck with the light. (That's what we call the ambulance in our family to lessen the drama.) Actually, when Mom called for the "professional transportation service" she asked them if they could perhaps not flash the lights when pulling in. They assured her it was protocol.

We were in the ER with Dad until around 1:30a.m. Mom was falling asleep sitting in a chair, so Linden and I brought her home. I've been trying to get over to see him and help my Mom out as often as I can.

He is doing better, but he is still quite sick. He has multiple conditions, complications with medications, and a really bad infection in his leg. I don't think it matters how old you are - it is unsettling to see your parents in such a state.

Today I had a major victory. Lili's school was having pictures done, and they invited parents to bring siblings as well. What a sight we were. The principal kept asking me, "How do you do it?" as she was capturing toddlers escaping from the picture area. I've been trying to get a portrait of my children taken for over a year, and I think this one came out really nice. The girls love being dressed up. When I put dresses on them the dance around and say, "Pretty dress!"

Victoria and Amanda loved the comments from Faith, "I'm Gorgeous!" and the spinning from Eve. They looked great!
